About the Grant
The Basant Pant Young Innovator Grant will be awarded to two people by Annapurna Neurological Institute
The grant amount is NPR 200,000 for each individual and this year 2018/19 will be awarded in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Formal education on Biomedical Engineering is not required
The topic of research/ innovation should be on applied sciences which will directly help current medical practices.
It can be a simple idea which can be directly implemented and helpful for the present practice.

Eye tracking patient assistance system
Blood warming system
Bluetooth based movement sensor
Terms and Conditions
Age 18 - 30 Years at the date of application
Group applications are not entertained
Place of research should be Annapurna Neurological Institute
Date of commencement of research October 15th 2018
Research Must be completed by October 14th 2019
Commitment to reside in Nepal until the end of the project
Research methodology, results and final products should be submitted in the form of a hard and soft copy at the end of the research.
Patent rights of product will remain at Annapurna Neurological Institute.
If any financial gain arises from the product, Annapurna Neurological Institute agrees to provide part of it to the innovator.
All these and any other conditions deemed necessary will be agreed upon prior in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding
